Unlike traditional metal building insulation methods in which thin layers of batt insulation or urethane are installed between trusses at the base of the roof decking, HIGH-R® Insulated Ceiling System panels are attached to clips at the base of roof purlins. The cavity above the panels is filled with approved fiberglass blowing wool insulation, giving the ceiling system an insulation value up to R-45.

The high r-value of the system often saves enough energy to cover the entire cost of the system in a matter of months. In many cases, the system also may qualify for federal tax credits.

The energy savings achievable with HIGH-R can meet LEED prerequisites related to Energy and Atmosphere. In retrofit applications, the HIGH-R panels allow continued use of existing insulation, thereby reducing landfill requirements and contributing to the Materials and Resource credit.

The HIGH-R Insulated Ceiling and Wall System is perfect for showrooms, retail stores, warehouses, gyms, food processing facilities, churches and other facilities where temperature and moisture control are critical. It also is approved by the GSA for use in government buildings, and by the FDA for buildings used for food processing and food-handling.
