Dew Point

The reason traditional wrapped batt insulation often fails in metal buildings is that the dew point – the spot where water vapor turns liquid, is inside the batts. As warmer air from the inside of the building rises into the cooler batts, the batts become saturated, causing the insulation to break up and drop moisture into the room below.

With the HIGH-R system, you can place the dew point where you want it. Rigid panels are available in a variety of thicknesses to assure the dew point stays in the panel and not in the insulation above, preventing insulation failure and condensation.
